UNDERSTANDING ACNE

What’s Happening in Acne-Prone Skin?

Acne is rarely about just one thing. A buildup of dead skin cells, excess oil, bacteria and inflammation can all contribute to clogged pores and active breakouts, while redness and post-acne marks can linger after a blemish has healed.  Acne isn’t just a teenage concern, and it can be frustrating, impacting confidence and how your skin feels.

How Aerolase helps

Why Aerolase for Acne?

Aerolase Neo Elite works on several of the key factors that drive acne. Laser energy penetrates into the follicle to help reduce acne-causing C. acnes bacteria, decrease sebaceous gland activity and excess oil production, and calm the inflammation associated with active breakouts.

It can also target the vascular redness left behind after acne has healed, helping improve post-acne red marks (PIE). By addressing bacteria, oil, inflammation and residual redness, Aerolase can help calm active acne while improving the marks breakouts leave behind.

What it doesn't directly address is the buildup of dead skin cells within the follicle. When excess keratinization and congestion are part of the picture, treatments such as chemical exfoliation and an appropriate home-care routine may be incorporated into your treatment plan.

A Personalized Plan

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Everyone’s skin is different. The number of treatments depends on the severity of your acne, how your skin responds and your goals.

Most clients see noticeable improvement with a series of treatments, typically 3–6 sessions spaced a week or two apart. A maintenance plan may help keep breakouts under control over time.
