UNDERSTANDING VASCULAR CONCERNS

Not All Red Spots & Visible Vessels Are the Same

Visible vessels and vascular lesions develop when blood vessels become enlarged, dilated or concentrated close enough to the surface of the skin to become noticeable.

They can appear as fine red lines, branching vessels or small red spots, and the right treatment depends on what we're actually looking at.

How Aerolase helps

Targeting the Vessel, Not Just the Redness

Aerolase Neo Elite delivers 1064 nm laser energy into the skin, where it can be absorbed by hemoglobin - the pigment within red blood cells.

That energy is converted to heat within the targeted vessel, causing it to coagulate and close. Over time, the body gradually clears the treated vessel and it becomes less visible.

The Neo Elite's 650-microsecond pulse delivers this energy in a very short burst, helping limit excess heat from spreading into the surrounding skin.

Treatment settings are selected according to the vessel or lesion being treated, including its size, depth, colour and location.

Suitability Matters

Not every visible vessel or red spot should be treated with laser. We’ll assess the area first and determine whether Aerolase is an appropriate option.

Vascular Lesion Treatment Pricing

Single Treatment

Up to 3 small lesions or one small treatment area per appointment.

Additional lesions or treatment areas will be priced and confirmed before treatment.

A Personalized Plan

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Some small vascular lesions may respond significantly after a single treatment, while others require a series of treatments to achieve the desired clearance.

Response depends on the type, size, depth and location of the vessel, as well as how your individual skin responds.

Treated vessels can clear gradually over the weeks following treatment. We’ll assess your response before deciding whether another treatment is needed.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

Not sure whether the red spot or visible vessel you're seeing is something we can treat? We can assess the area and determine whether Aerolase is an appropriate option.

What to expect

Before, During & After

Before

We'll assess the area and determine whether the vessel or vascular lesion is appropriate for treatment. Treatment settings are selected based on the type, size, depth and location of the target.

During

Laser energy is delivered directly to the targeted vessel. You may feel brief warmth or a quick snapping sensation as the laser is applied. Treatment is typically quite quick for small areas.

After

The area may appear temporarily red, darker or slightly swollen following treatment. Some vessels disappear quickly, while others gradually fade as the body clears the treated vessel. Avoid picking or irritating the area and follow the aftercare instructions provided.

THE WOODLAND APPROACH

Treating What We See and Understanding Why It’s There

Visible vessels and vascular lesions aren't all the same. At Woodland, treatment begins with identifying what we're looking at and whether laser is the right tool for it.

For appropriate vessels, Aerolase allows us to treat the vascular target precisely. When the redness is part of a broader skin concern - such as rosacea or ongoing inflammation - we may recommend addressing that underlying condition as part of your treatment plan.
