Benefits

Helps remove pool-related mineral buildup
Helps remove copper and other elements that can accumulate with regular swimming.

Helps neutralize chlorine
A post-pool reset for hair exposed regularly to chlorinated water.

Restores the look and feel of swimmer hair
Helps leave hair looking brighter and feeling cleaner and more manageable.

How to Use

Start with freshly shampooed, wet hair. Pour the Swimmers Wellness Remedy crystals into your wet palm and add approximately 1 oz (30 mL) of water. Rub your hands together until the crystals dissolve.

Massage thoroughly through the hair and leave on for 2–5 minutes, then rinse well. Follow with Malibu C Swimmers Wellness Shampoo and Conditioner.

Recommended use: At least once weekly for regular swimmers.

Tips from Woodland

Wet hair before getting in the pool. Hair acts like a sponge, if it’s already saturated with clean water, it absorbs less chlorinated water. Bonus points for applying a leave-in conditioner or hair oil to the mid-lengths/ends before swimming.

Another tip: Follow this with a good conditioner or mask. Chelating treatments remove buildup, but some hair (especially highlighted hair) may feel slightly “squeaky” afterward because the coating/mineral film is gone.

Good expectation setting: This is not an everyday product. Think 1x/week for frequent swimmers or after vacations/pool-heavy weeks.

Ingredients

Glucose, Ascorbic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Xanthan Gum.

THE WOODLAND EDIT

Why it earned a place on our shelf.

If you spend a lot of time in the pool, you know the hair: dry, tangled, dull and sometimes taking on that unmistakable swimmer's green.

This little packet is designed to help remove the chlorine, copper and mineral buildup that regular shampoo can leave behind. And an important bit of swimmer science: chlorine isn't actually what turns hair green. Copper is usually the culprit.

With four competitive swimmers in my own house, swimmer hair care is something I pay attention to. I like this as an occasional reset when pool buildup starts showing up in the feel, colour or manageability of the hair, not as something you need to use every day.
